One of a Kind Celtic Collection ~ Traditional Fishermen's Patterns in Many Colors ~ Original Designs
Take a look at the details in these traditional Celtic Cardigans. Each original design is based on an historic Guernsey or Gansey design used by wives of fishermen in Cornwall to create warm working sweaters. Each of my interpretations of these Gansey patterns is unique with variations of an all over or border patterns. My designs single out a pattern that is repeated instead of a mix of patterns. You’ll find arrow, checks, or knots, ribs and cables on the back and fronts bordered by various ladders pattern accents. These are traditional patterns used in variations throughout England, Scotland, and Wales. Each is hand knit in 100% British, Shetland or Merino Wool that is soft, light weight, warm, resilient, and moisture wicking.
