WASHING YOUR SWEATER

All L'Agneau garments are washable by hand.  If noted on the the label, some may be washed in a washing machine following these directions. For best results, I recommend using a lingerie or laundry bag for all machine washing.

MACHINE WASHING

Sweaters can only be washed in a washing machine that has  either a wool, a hand wash or a delicate cycle with warm water (40 degrees C).  Place sweaters in a lingerie or laundry bag to wash.  An extra “spin only” cycle will remove even more water. Remove from bag and lay flat on a dry towel to naturally dry in open air. Some garments are labeled “tumbled dry” which is best done in the garment bag at low heat setting or dry partially and then lay flat to complete the drying.

HAND WASH

For sweaters that are labeled "Hand Wash", or if your washing machine does not have a wool or hand wash cycle, or if you just prefer to wash your sweaters by hand…

•  Fill a sink with tepid (40 degree C) soapy water using a special cleanser for wool or baby shampoo. Add 2 T of white vinegar to the water for the proper ph balance. Immerse the garment briefly, dunking it up and down, gently rub any soiled areas .

• Rinse with tepid water gently squeezing the garment to remove the soap. You can add a little hair conditioner to the first rinse water as this will make the wool even softer. Drain the sink and gently squeeze the garment, then while it is still dripping, place it in a laundry bag (or lingerie bag).  Place the bag in the washing machine to spin the water out on a spin only cycle.

• Remove the garment from the bag and lay it flat to air dry.
